The Faculty of Biology is a center that generates, develops, and transmits knowledge that enables the comprehensive training of scientists and biology professionals, with a critical mind, up-to-date knowledge, and full competencies. Quality teaching and research, along with a commitment to the needs of society, are the pillars on which the Faculty bases its activities.

The Faculty of Biology aspires to be recognized by its students, the scientific community, and the university community as a leading center for the quality and attractiveness of its programs, the high level of research and knowledge transfer it carries out, and the spirit of continuous improvement in its management.
Likewise, the faculty aims to be recognized by employers and the community as a benchmark for the training of its graduates and their involvement as qualified professionals committed to the progress and transformation of society.
Successful performance by all of the faculty’s stakeholders will contribute to positioning it as a benchmark center in southern Galicia, with the goal of achieving excellence in its performance and achievements.
