The Faculty Board is the collegiate body responsible for representing and making decisions on behalf of the Faculty. It is composed of the Dean, who presides over it, and the following group of members (ex officio and elected), in accordance with Article 38.1 of the Statutes of the University of Vigo and the regulations for the election of representatives:
- All teaching and research staff with permanent ties to the University (PDI-A) and who teach mainly at the centre, constituting 51% of the Faculty Board.
- A representation of teaching and research staff without a permanent link to the University (PDI-B), corresponding to 10% of the Faculty Board. Of these, at least 80% correspond to full-time PDI-B staff.
- A representation of the student body, constituting 29% of the Faculty Board.
- A representation of TAASS, constituting 10% of the Faculty Board.
The elected members of the Faculty Board are renewed every two years in accordance with the provisions of Article 57.4 of the General Electoral Regulations of the University of Vigo.
