Degree in Biology

The Bachelor's Degree in Biology is a qualification adapted to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), which provides continuity to the previous Bachelor's Degree programmes that have been part of the Faculty of Biology since its creation. Therefore, as with the Bachelor's degree, the main objective of the Bachelor's Degree in Biology is to train biologists with the ability to understand the functioning and behaviour of living beings, their origin and evolution, and their relationship with the environment around them.

In addition to the basic training that all biologists must have, the new Bachelor's Degree in Biology includes the possibility of graduating with honours. In this regard, there are three specific pathways in which students acquire skills for applying biological knowledge to the following fields: i) health, health biology and clinical analysis (honours: Biology Applied to Health); ii) biotechnology, quality control, technological innovation, bioinformatics, genetic and molecular technologies (honours: Biology Applied to Production) and iii) biodiversity, environmental impact assessment, pollution (honours: Biology Applied to the Environment).

There is also the possibility of graduating without honours.
