Short CV

Ángel Pérez Diz is associate professor of Genetics at University of Vigo, Spain. His research interests are focussed on the evolutionary biology field, and specifically in understanding the functional consequences of genetic changes and the molecular mechanisms underlying the processes of reproductive isolation, adaptation and ultimately speciation. I am also interested in understanding basic aspects about reproductive biology, molecular mechanisms underlying doubly uniparental inheritance (DUI) of mtDNA, nuclear and mitochondrial genome coevolution, as well as the effects at molecular level of climate change and pollution in marine organisms. To advance in this direction he is currently using multi-omics approaches.
